Context

Life Sciences or Health organizations’ teams (Sales, MSLS, and KAMs) engage with Healthcare Providers and Organizations to provide information about their products and how they can help improve treatment outcomes. The primary goal of these teams is to expand reach, educate, and provide while making sure that HCP and HCO’s time is used efficiently by talking about the right products and messages based on their interest and specialization.

To achieve this, having correct and verified data of HCP and HCOs is required as that works as a basis for commercial teams to engage with their customers. It’s also where this connector or API enables organizations to search quickly online about the HCP or HCO of interest. Also, it helps keep HCP and/ HCO data accurate by letting its users ask for validation against the data inaccuracies they see in the field. Based on the validation request status, the HCP / HCO Data is updated.

Cumulus commercial teams are always looking to engage with HCPs.

Cumulus commercial Team users often meet HCPs whose data is not present in their CRM and there is no way for them to quickly search and get information about the HCP. This hampers their efficiency and leads to suboptimal outcomes and sometimes requires revisiting the same location due to lack of online information about the HCP.

In addition, Cumulus users want to ensure that the changes in HCP data that they see in the field (for example,new location or address) are vetted and then available for them through the CRM system.

Search for HCPs and HCOs that they don't have in their system online and have an integrated view of the search in a single system. The Provider API allows users to search HCP and HCO information from the IQVIA OneKey system online. Raise data validation requests for an HCP or HCO to highlight changes or addition to the account data based on what they see in the field (for example, a new address, new speciality of the HCP, and so on) .The Provider Services API creates a validation request with OneKey against the requested change and organization can track the validation request and, based on the status of validation request, update the data of the HCP or HCO.
